Amazing Facts That Show How Amazing the Female Body Is

One of the most fascinating characteristics of the female body is motherhood. But the fact that women can grow another human being within them is not the only thing that makes them so amazing. If you take a closer look at the female organism, you can find many other interesting facts that women themselves may not even know about. Here are some amazing female body facts.

We have collected 10 points that show that the female body is full of strange and wonderful surprises.

Women are really good with words

When it comes to expressing themselves, no one can compare with women. It turns out that there is even an anatomical explanation for this phenomenon: Women have larger frontal and temporal areas of the cortex, a region of the brain that is believed to influence language skills.

Women also have higher levels of FOXP2, also known as the “language protein.” This large amount of protein helps the average woman speak about 20,000 words a day, which is 13,000 more words than the average man.

Women have greater muscle endurance

Some studies show that women can get about 75% more endurance-related exercise than men. The reason for this is hidden in their hormones – estrogen in women is believed to make their muscles more resistant to fatigue.

Female skin is very sensitive

In general, women’s skin is 25% thinner than men’s, making it much more sensitive to touch and other types of stimulation. Unfortunately, this feature also has a downside. Hypersensitive skin makes women more prone to developing lines and wrinkles as they lose collagen due to aging.

A woman’s mood depends on her hormones

Most women know all about the symptoms of PMS. However, not all women find that their body is affected by their cycle every day of the month. As hormone levels constantly change in your brain and body, so do your outlook, energy levels, and sensitivity.

For example, women often feel more cheeky about 10 days after the start of their period and just before ovulation. During these days, they try to dress sexier to look more attractive to potential partners. A week later, when there is a spike in their progesterone levels, women tend to stay home with a hot cup of tea and snuggle in bed with their loved ones.

The following week, they usually feel watery and are easily irritated. And of course, your mood changes to its worst 12-24 hours before your period starts.

Women go through adolescence twice

The second period of adolescence for women, or perimenopause, occurs at age 40. It’s usually characterized by irregular periods, night sweats, and other not-so-pleasant things caused by changes in your hormone levels. A woman’s hormones during this transition can be so insane that she could even behave as moody as a teenager.

Women are experts at reading faces

From the moment they are born, women have the ability to read people’s faces, perfectly decoding their emotions and feelings. This helps them to be more empathetic to others and to communicate better with them. Besides that, some studies show that women have perfect memory of facial features.

Women do distinguish colors better than men

Women see more shades than men since the perception of color is related to the X chromosome. Men have one X chromosome while women have 2.

One of the br**sts is always bigger than the other

No woman has absolutely symmetrical br**sts. The difference in the size of it can be invisible or quite noticeable, and there can be many reasons for this. For example, it could be a difference in the volume of br**st tissue, the size or shape of the br**st pocket, or even the elasticity of the skin on each br**st. However, there is nothing to worry about, as it is something totally natural and normal.

A woman’s body transforms drastically during childbirth

Giving birth to a child is really hard work, any woman can confirm it. In addition to experiencing terrible pain, a woman’s body generally goes through many different changes. One of them is the dilation of the cervix.

During labor, the cervix changes from a tightly closed inlet to a fully open outlet for the baby. To be ready to push a child, it must be fully dilated to 10 cm, which is actually the size of a bagel. But these 10 cm only represent the push point: the cervix can continue to expand to accommodate the baby’s head.

Women can handle pain better

Women actually experience more pain than men; this is a well known fact. But it’s not about how strong they are, it depends on how your brain works.

Some studies show that women and men remember their past pain differently. While men are more stressed and oversensitive when they think about the pain they have experienced before, women tend to forget it faster. And in general, the pain threshold in women is 9 times stronger than in men.
