Hundreds of individuals participated in a “Check Every Vote” protest in Philadelphia on Wednesday night as Pennsylvania was all the while counting mail-in ballots that could determine the end result of the political election.
The group marched through the city bearing “Check Every Vote” signs and later combined with a Black Lives Matter protest related with the police killing of Walter Wallace Jr., The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Pennsylvania, an important battleground state, has developed as an unquestionable requirement win for President Trump to keep his expectations of a second term alive.
With 88 percent of the state’s vote counted, Trump drove Biden by around 259,500 votes, as per the Associated Press.
But over 2.5 million mail-in ballots were cast in the state. By early Wednesday night, 735,000 of the ballots still needed to be counted, giving Biden a realistic chance at overtaking Trump once the dust settles, NBC10 reported.
Twenty electoral votes are up for grabs in the tight race.
Trump’s campaign prematurely claimed victory in Pennsylvania, while Biden said earlier Wednesday he felt confident he could come out on top in his home state.
The president’s campaign on Wednesday also filed a lawsuit against the Keystone State, demanding better access to ballot counting locations.
