F. Scott Fitzgerald said in his book The Great Gatsby, “And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was starting over again with the summer.” And we can’t help but agree with that! That’s why we want you to feel great this summer, and live your best life.
1. Use baby powder as a deodorant.
Seek to put a little baby powder on your underarms to prevent odour and wetness. It’s made of pure cornstarch (which you can also use if you don’t want to pay extra for the baby powder brand name) and has outstanding absorption qualities. If your feet tend to sweat and smell, you can put some in your shoes too.
2. Elastics on your sunglasses
Isn’t it irritating when your sunglasses won’t stay in place, so you have to change them constantly? Well, here’s the solution: try each end of your sunglasses with little clear elastics. It won’t make them slip off your nose.
3. Coconut oil
Want to get into the pool but worry about chlorine drying out your hair? Here’s the solution: Apply some coconut oil on your hair before getting into the water. This adds a nice shine and keeps the hair from getting gross and dry.
4. Darker foundation
It’s unavoidable to get tan in the summer, but buying a new shade of foundation every time you grow a darker shade is not. Simply add some liquid bronzer before application into your foundation and mix well until you have the shade that suits your skin.
5. Coffee ice
Cold drinks are called for hot summers! How many of you enjoy a refreshing glass of ice coffee beginning your day? And how many of us wish it weren’t polluted with loads of ice? To stop this, in an ice cube tray, you can easily pour instant black coffee, freeze it, and use it instead of standard ice.
6. Dry your underarms.
We all get excessive sweating, particularly in the summer. If you don’t want damp underarms, and you’re wearing a T-shirt, just put a panty liner on your T-shirt ‘s underarm portion. Just make sure the sleeves are long enough and not a see-through material.
7. Ziplock case
Do you want to keep your phone away from sand, dirt and water while on a beach trip? Simply put it in a ziplock sac. Because it’s clear and thin, you’ll still be able to use your phone as usual without worrying that it might happen.
8. Aloe vera ice
You can sometimes lose track of time while laying in the sun and end up with a nasty sunburn. A nice way to soothe the red, irritated skin is to use some aloe vera gel at your burning place. But an even easier way to put the gel on is to place it in an ice cube tray, freeze it and then use the cubes to provide some relief to your body’s affected parts.
9. Keep your bra from falling down.
The strapless and cold shoulder tops and dresses have become extremely trendy over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, from this type of clothes, bra straps do not look very well peaking. But what do you do if each time you wear it your strapless bra keeps slipping down?
You can use a special glue to line it in. This will allow your bra to stick better to your skin and you will never again find yourself in an awkward situation. You may also use some white craft glue (not super glue) but before applying make sure you are not allergic to it.
10. Windproof skirt
How many times did you not put it on a skirt, because it was too windy for it outside? You’ll ultimately be able to do so with this lifehack. Only take some coins, place them on the inside bottom of your top, where the seam is, and use fashion tape to protect them. You won’t ever look like Marilyn Monroe again now.
Have you ever been in a situation where you wish you knew these hacks in your life?
