California Gov. Gavin Newsom will isolate for 10 days after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19, his office said Sunday night.
The staff member came into contact with Newsom and a couple of different colleagues, Newsom’s office said in a statement to KGO.
Newsom tested negative for the Covid-19 on Sunday and is required to be tested again in the coming days, his office said.
The governor’s office said Newsom will “continue to follow state and CDC guidelines.”
Newsom isolated for 14 days a month ago after three of his children were presented to a California Highway Patrol officer who was diagnosed with the coronavirus.
