Trump Could Lift Restrictions on Travel Between The U.S. and U.K

President Trump could lift restrictions on travel between the U.S. also, the U.K. on Tuesday — as expected for Christmas, as per a report.

A lift on the restrictions would come by executive order, and has been suggested by the Department of Homeland Security, the U.K’s. The Telegraph revealed Friday, citing unnamed industry and aviation sources.

The U.K. has also been lobbying the Trump administration to lift the restrictions, which currently ban entry for most non-U.S. residents who were recently in Brazil, Britain, Ireland and 26 other European nations, Reuters announced.

Trump has thought about opening travel between the two countries since October.

Restrictions barring most visitors from Europe have been in place since mid-March to address the coronavirus pandemic.

Britain currently allows Americans to visit but requires two weeks of quarantine upon landing.
