President Trump on Sunday night defended a group of his pickup truck driving supporters who sparked an FBI investigation by encompassing a Joe Biden campaign bus on a Texas interstate.
“As I would see it, these patriots did nothing incorrectly,” the president tweeted about the Friday incident that prompted at any rate one minor impact and provoked the Biden campaign to drop a few events in the state.
“All things being equal, the FBI and Justice ought to research the terrorists, revolutionaries, and instigators of ANTIFA, who go around burning down our Democrat run urban communities and harming our people!” the president wrote.
Over a dozen trucks bearing pro-Trump flags surrounded the Biden bus on I-35 while the drivers honked their horns, witnesses had told the Texas Tribune, who first reported the FBI’s involvement.
The confrontation caught the attention of Trump on Saturday, who tweeted a clip of the incident with his praise: “I LOVE TEXAS!”
