A van containing explosives was found in Philadelphia on Wednesday night, as the city stays on high alert over long periods of unrest stemming from the police shooting demise of Walter Wallace Jr., as per a report.
The van was found at Logan Circle in the Center City area, WPVI announced. Police told the outlet they recovered propane tanks and torches.
A film group with the outlet caught what seemed, by all accounts, to be sticks of explosive.
Philadelphia the previous two evenings has wrestled with rough fights over the demise of Wallace, who, as indicated by police, was equipped with a knife that he would not drop when he was shot on Monday.
The unrest, which additionally included looting, provoked the city’s chairman to bring in the state’s national guard, who are relied upon to show up not long from now.
Police fired 14 shots at Wallace, though police have not said how many times he was hit.
The officers involved in the killing have been taken off the street as the shooting is investigated.
On Wednesday, Philadelphia police commissioner Danielle Outlaw said the department will release bodycam footage and the audio of 911 calls made in connection to the fatal shooting.
