President Trump might be planning to have a election night party at his Washington, DC hotel, as per emails from his re-election campaign.
The president’s campaign has conveyed various messages lately offering Trump fans the opportunity to enter a raffle to win tickets to the party that will be gone to by members of “Team Trump.”
The emails, which are marked by the president, don’t state which hotel will have the party, yet promote the open door “to join Team Trump at the Election Night Party in my favorite hotel.”
“November third will stand out forever as the night we won FOUR MORE YEARS. It will be totally EPIC, and the main thing that could improve it is having YOU there,” one of the emails reads.
Since his election, the president and the Republican National Committee have hosted a number of events at his hotel in the Old Post office building near the White House. Trump leases the building from the federal government.
Critics have blasted the president for the practice, arguing he’s funneled money from his public life into his businesses.
The local government in the District of Columbia has capped gatherings to under 50 people amid the coronavirus pandemic. Trump has worked around those restrictions at other gatherings by holding them on federal property.
