Home Remedies for Body Rashes

Aloe Vera

Toothpaste
One of the most easily available home remedies is toothpaste, which can be applied to the body rash area. As it contains mint, it gives coolness and reduces both itching and pain.
Basil and Mint Leaves
Basil and Mint are both known for their cooling effects. The leaves of either plant can be applied on rashes for relief.
Almond Oil

Blanch Nettle Leaves

Potatoes and Oatmeal
Potatoes are known for their healing and dermatological properties. Finely chopped potato and a cup of oatmeal can be added to a tub of water. This should be stirred properly. Individuals suffering from chicken pox can wash their rashes using this water to obtain relief and treatment.
Chamomile Tea
Tea made up chamomile can be used to wash the affected area to obtain relief.Calcium Water
A cloth can be soaked for some time in a vessel containing calcium that is dissolved in water. This cloth can then be applied to the reddened area.
Olive Oil or Cod Liver Oil
It is also observed that massaging the area slightly with either of olive or cod liver oil for few days after the appearance of skin rash is also an effective way of eliminating it.
Bread Slices
Take a slice of bread and warm it slightly. This can now be kept over the affected site to obtain relief.
Vitamin C-rich Diet
A Vitamin C diet is also helpful in making the skin healthy. Hence, it is advisable to consume citrus fruits to keep the skin glowing and rash-free.
Other then these remedial measures, one should always be cautious about the things they are contacting and must avoid those things to which they are allergic. Use of expired products must not be done. People who are skin sensitive must also avoid excessive exposure to sunlight.
