Alexandra Kinova’s labor was not an average birth that doctors have never experienced before. The 23-year-old Czech Republic recently experienced a “very special” childbirth, which only happens once every 480 years. When she was pregnant, Alexandra became famous because people couldn’t go anywhere if they didn’t want to be photographed.
Alexandra Kinova and her husband Antonin were delighted to hear about the another children.
As her belly grew, Alexandra thought she was pregnant with twins, but found out that a few months later she was pregnant with more than one child. The news was brought up fondly as she and her boyfriend had no plans to have more than one child. Even though the couple had no money, they were planning to start a larger family than expected.
The couple from the Czech town of Milovice already have a son, but they can’t wait to welcome a new member.
The joy knew no bounds when their doctor announced that there were two, not one, babies in Alexandra’s belly.
Standing or walking in nine months is perfect for Alexandra, but it became impossible when her belly reached 30 kilograms twice as heavy as a typical pregnancy belly at 40 weeks. She said it was difficult to carrying such a colossal belly everywhere. She couldn’t tell how many times bigger her stomach would get during this time, yet she stayed positive.

A couple expects their family to grow from 3 to 5 members!
However, things took a twist when doctors showed them an ultrasound; Alexandra was so shocked that she cried.
Alexandra’s first ultrasounds were difficult for the doctors to read, and due to the size of her belly, she and her BF purchased a second crib for the baby without hesitation. As the day of the birth approached, the couple decided to have a clear picture of what was going in Alexandra’s stomach. They made one more attempt, and a shocking truth was revealed.
Doctors had first declared that Alexandra was carrying twins, but later it changed.
As the 23-year-old woman’s belly continued to grow, a final ultrasound showed she was carrying five babies!
She was pregnant with no less than FIVE BABIES! But it turned out that wasn’t all. Delivery would happen by Caesarean Section as it’s pretty impossible to give birth to many fully grown babies in a natural way. Before the planned CS, Alexandra changed her mind and didn’t go under the knife. Her mom and grandma delivered their kids naturally, so she did the same thing.
When it was time for Alexandra to deliver her babies, it was without complications.
Four boys and one girl came into the world through natural means. The first-ever in the world!
Expectedly, doctors strongly advised her against her choice, but Alexandra was sure of her decision. The delivery began at exactly 14:00, and she was given Pitocin to get started. Over 40 doctors were present to monitor the health of the mom and children, but they looked at the screen in panic when they saw that the first child was lying in breach. The leading doctor manually intervened to put the fragile child back in a normal position.
Here’s a photo of the Quintuplets when they were newly born!
It was quite a complex task as the baby’s brothers and sisters exerted pressure on the already tense abdomen. The doctors moved his hand and carefully twisted the baby’s body. Thankfully, her first son was born 18:34 despite a difficult start. It then took over 1.5hours before her 2nd child was ready to see the world. And just after 1hour and 42minutes, the doctors called out: “NOW PUSH!!!”
Today, babies Deniel, Michael, Alex, Martin, and Terezka are growing up, and everyone is healthy.
The quintuplets were undoubtedly more than what Antonin and Alexandra bargained for, yet they were very thrilled.
And of course, SHE DID IT!! Alexandra has since become the only woman ever to give birth to quintuplets without a C-section, and indeed all of her five children survived the birth. However, it has now been two years since Alexandra and her partner welcomed their quintuplets, and it’s pretty safe to say she’s still the only person who has ever given birth to 5 children.
The chance of having quintuplets is one in 47 million, and the odds that all of them survive is very little.
So, it’s safe to say that Alexandra’s delivery was a miracle.
